In line with the ChineseCentral Government’s Countryside Reform & Poverty ReductionPolicy,the localministration is working with some professional companies to upgrade the villageinto a tourism complex including healthy food providing, accommodation,makers’ training base, artists’ fairyland, etc. instead of the singlefunction of selling lotus roots just for feeding the people themselves. It’shoped to become an ideal destination for urban people. Furthermore, through theupgrading, the conditions of local economy (people’s income, for instance),humanity (restriction to pesticide using) and environment (toilets upgrade)will be largely promoted.
