Jason Lau (劉霆君)

從2014-2019師從多倫多大學音樂部木管系主任Wallace Halladay. 曾在多倫多大學獲得University of Toronto Wind Ensemble Concerto Competition大獎,而在後續一年與Univerity of Toronto Wind Symphony出演 Alexandre Glazunov 的Eb協奏曲.

從2019至今就讀於比利時魯汶大學附屬音樂學院 Luca School of Arts 進修碩士學位, 師從西班牙薩拉戈薩高等音樂學院薩克斯教授 Mariano Garcia.

至今擁有5年的教學經驗,與幫助學生考上RCM 薩克斯的演奏考試.

TingKwan(Jason) Lau is an emerging Toronto based saxophonist specializing in Classicaland Contemporary music. An active performer and educator, Jason is fluent inthe repertoire of the saxophone and is as comfortable a soloist as heis a chamber musician. Anactive competitor, Jason won the 2018 University of Toronto Faculty of MusicWinds Competition . Astrong interest in exploring the virtuosic capabilities of the saxophonedrives Jason to explore music beyond that of his instrument. Jasonis in his First year of the Master of InstrumentsSpecialize in Saxophone at the Lemmensinstituut under the guidance of Prof. Mariano Garcia and Nadine Bal. ADavid and Marcia Beach Summer Study Award, along with a Faculty of MusicUndergraduate Associaton individual grants gave Jason the opportunity toparticipate in the Université Européenne de Saxophone in Gap, France in thesummer of 2017-19. There, he received advanced instruction from virtuososClaude Delangle, Arno Bornkamp, Vincent David and among others.
