Job Overview
We are seeking an Interior Designer to support our restaurant projects. This role focuses on executing and adapting an existing design style, with an emphasis on efficient functional layouts and accurate drawing production. Candidates should have experience in commercial or hospitality interiors, and be comfortable working within pre-defined brand guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of restaurant operational flow, can produce comprehensive drawing sets, and is capable of preparing and submitting Building Permit (BP) applications in the City of Vancouver or other local municipalities.
Duties
- Prepare interior layout and detailed design drawings based on brand standards
- Understand and implement functional restaurant layouts (kitchen, dining, service zones)
- Produce full drawing packages for design development, permit submission, and construction
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and kitchen consultants
- Prepare and submit BP applications, including coordination with city reviewers
- Ensure design compliance with local building codes and project requirements
- Review shop drawings and assist during construction phase as needed
Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial interior design, preferably with restaurants or hospitality
- Familiarity with BP submission process in Vancouver or BC municipalities
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Revit is an asset)
- Strong attention to detail, with experience preparing full drawing sets
- Able to follow and replicate brand design standards
- Organized, reliable, and able to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and coordination skills

Pay: $4,200.00-$4,500.00 per month
