Position Overview
We are seeking a highly accomplished
Analog / Mixed-Signal IC Engineer to join our R&D team. The successful
candidate will lead the design, verification, and productization of
state-of-the-art analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits. This position
requires a solid theoretical foundation, proven industrial experience, and the
ability to transform complex design challenges into manufacturable and scalable
solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design: Define system architecture
and design analog/mixed-signal building blocks such as low-noise
amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, PLLs, oscillators, filters, and biasing networks.
Verification & Analysis: Perform transistor-level
simulation, modeling, and corner analysis (PVT, mismatch, Monte Carlo).
Analyze circuit performance across supply variations, noise, and parasitic
loading.
Layout Oversight: Collaborate with layout
engineers; provide clear device-level matching, shielding, symmetry, and
parasitic-sensitive design guidelines. Review post-layout results and
optimize for yield, power, and area.
System Integration: Work with cross-functional
teams on chip-level integration, DFT (design-for-test), and silicon
bring-up/validation.
Innovation & IP: Drive innovative designs
suitable for patent filing or trade secret protection. Contribute to
company’s IP portfolio.
Quality & Reliability: Conduct rigorous design
reviews, prepare detailed documentation, and ensure compliance with
reliability standards and customer requirements.
Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Industry Engagement: Stay abreast of emerging
technologies, participate in conferences, and evaluate new
methodologies/tools for continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (or a closely related field) with a focus on analog/mixed-signal IC design.
Minimum 5 years of industry experience (domestic or international) in semiconductor design, product development, or related R&D roles.
In-depth knowledge of semiconductor device physics and CMOS/BiCMOS fabrication technologies.
Expertise in circuit analysis (noise, linearity, stability, frequency response, feedback/compensation).
Demonstrated expertise in
designing and validating key analog/mixed-signal circuits, including
single/dual-slope ADCs, sigma-delta modulators, SerDes, voltage
regulators, and DC-DC converters.
Strong understanding of layout-dependent effects (mismatch, parasitics, power distribution, IR drop, substrate coupling).
Proficiency in English technical communication (oral and written).
Preferred Skills
Experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, HSPICE, and post-silicon validation workflows.
Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink, Verilog-A/AMS, and behavioral modeling.
Track record of publications, patents, or commercialized ICs.
Demonstrated ability in cross-functional collaboration (product definition, silicon characterization, customer engagement).
Leadership in mentoring, training, or delivering technical presentations.
Work Conditions
Full-time permanent employment (40 hours per week).
Comprehensive benefits package (health insurance, paid vacation, etc.).
Office and laboratory environment, with
occasional travel for conferences, customer meetings, or silicon
validation support.
