Job summary
Wondershare develops creative and productivity software products and supports cross location teams. The Recruitment Specialist will lead recruitment activities for the Canada office and will work closely with hiring managers and overseas stakeholders to deliver consistent, timely, and well documented hiring processes in a technology environment.
Responsibilities
1. Lead end to end recruitment for corporate and product teams, including creative and growth roles such as product, marketing, design, and also technical roles that support software products. This includes intake meetings with general manager, defining requirements, creating scorecards, and identifying top talent.
2. Identify staffing needs, prepare job postings and advertisements, publish roles on appropriate channels, collect and screen applications, and maintain clear selection records for each competition.
3. Coordinate and run the selection process, including phone screens, structured interviews, reference checks, and coordination of technical assessments and portfolio reviews for product, design, and engineering related hiring on a global scale.
4. Act as a communication bridge between employees and managers, conduct leadership, understanding business needs and keeping a high-quality candidate and employee experience across teams and offices.
5. Work closely with the head office human resources and management teams in parent company and other locations to align recruiting standards, approvals, reporting lines, and internal workflows, while ensuring the Canadian process meets local expectations and timelines.
6. Support key people operations that connect directly to recruiting outcomes, including onboarding coordination, new hire orientation support, and collaboration with internal stakeholders on retention and engagement feedback that informs hiring plans.
7. Build and execute employer branding initiatives for the Canadian market, including social media recruiting content, recruiting events, campus outreach, and high-quality materials that attract high potential candidates who fit a fast-moving software company.
8. Stay current on employment related compliance topics that affect recruiting and hiring decisions, and ensure hiring practices are consistent, fair, well documented, and aligned with local regulations.
Requirements
1. Post secondary education in human resources, business, communications, or a related field.
2. Minimum 3 years of recruitment experience in Canada, including full cycle hiring in a technology company or software product environment.
3. Large Tech experience requirement: at least 2 years recruiting in a mid-size or large technology company with 100 or more employees, with demonstrated exposure to hiring for multiple job families across product, engineering, design, growth, and corporate functions.
4. Strong understanding of tech hiring: ability to recruit for roles such as software engineer, QA, data, product manager, UX UI designer, and growth marketing, and to work effectively with technical interviewers and hiring managers by understanding basic role expectations and team workflows.
5. Multinational and multicultural experience: proven experience working with cross time zone stakeholders and multicultural teams, including aligning local hiring processes with overseas approvals and standards.
6. Demonstrated ability to design structured interview processes, create scorecards, track pipeline metrics, and improve time to hire and quality of hire through data driven recruiting operations.
7. Hands on experience with applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools, plus strong Microsoft Excel skills for recruiting reports, headcount planning, and funnel analysis.
8. Language requirement: professional English plus Mandarin Chinese required, including ability to read and write Simplified Chinese for communication with overseas teams and for reviewing bilingual hiring materials.
