Coquitlam Automotive repair shop helper

TF Autopro & Paint have an immediate opening for an automotive repair shop helper

Applicant must be able to read/write English. Be able to speak Cantonese, Mandarin, English.

Duties include:

1. Keeping show work flowing (moving cars, getting parts from shelf to car)

2. Parts ordering (Be ok to work with a computer to order parts)

3. Customer service (calling customer to update customer, Key handoff, payment collection)

4. Post repair check (test drive, functional test, etc), ensuring car goes back in same or better condition

5. Basic Mechanical knowledge to repair vehicle (air filters, oil change, OBD reset, oil change reset)

6. some training will be provided during work, but applicant should have some basic knowledge

Applicant should have/be:

1. Fast learner and be able to work in a fast pace high stresss environment

2. Good knowledge of automotive parts (like can tell alternator from starter)

3. Mechanical savvy (Likes to remove and replace mechanical parts)

4. Attention to detail (being able to notice something is wrong when test driving or visual inspecting something)

5. Good Friendly customer service skill

6. Computer skills - being able to look up parts and repair information (will teach how to look up)

need to be able to work on saturday as well (except long weekend as we close all long weekend)
