Position Summary:
Evershine Management Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Junior Corporate Accountant to join our team. This full-time position plays a vital role in supporting the company’s financial operations, with a focus on payroll processing, bookkeeping, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring accounting or payroll experience, a solid understanding of QuickBooks and Excel, and strong knowledge of CRA payroll compliance and BC Employment Standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Process payroll accurately, including deductions (CPP, EI, income tax) and government remittances in compliance with CRA and BC Employment Standards.
- Work with HR to ensure payroll data is complete and on time.
- Prepare ROEs and year-end T4/T4A slips when needed.
- Record daily financial transactions in QuickBooks with correct coding.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice entry and payments.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain organized financial records.
- Support intercompany allocations and adjustments.
- Prepare schedules and data for quarterly GST returns.
- Work with external accountants to ensure timely and accurate filings.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial and management reports.
- Track leasing commissions (payable and receivable) and allocate them correctly.
- Help calculate and record management fees billed to ownership entities.
- Coordinate with brokers, property managers, and accountants to reconcile related accounts.
- Collect and verify monthly financial reports from third-party property managers.
- Reconcile and summarize financial data across properties for internal reporting.
- Assist the Administration Manager with consolidating property data.
- Provide documents to external accountants and respond to information requests.
- Support financial analysis and internal reporting for management.
- Assist with year-end audit preparation and other accounting tasks as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Mandarin & English language proficiency required (spoken and written).
-Diploma / bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline from a recognized
institution.
- 1–3 years of accounting, payroll, or bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is required.
- Hands-on experience with payroll processing, and solid knowledge of CRA payroll requirements and BC Employment Standards.
- Experience preparing and filing T4/T4A slips and payroll remittances.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and reconciliations.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently.
- PCP designation or actively working towards PCP is an asset.
- Experience in property management accounting is a plus but not mandatory.
