We are seeking a meticulous and well-organized Accounting Assistant to join our team in Montreal . Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily activities within the Accounting department
• Implement effective cash flow strategies
• Consolidate accounts
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Full-cycle payroll processing
• Compute taxes owed and prepare tax returns
• Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports
• Provide financial documents for year-end audits
• Ensure accounts payable/receivable are paid and collected promptly
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
• Examine statements to ensure accuracy
• Respond effectively to client requests and suggestions
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• At least 2 years of experience in full accounting cycle, bank reconciliation, GST/QST reports, tax returns, Revenue Quebec & Canada reports, income statements, DAS (deductions at source) payables to the government, general ledger, and full financial statements
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and French
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Accounting Software Principles
• Excellent attention to detail and consistent high level of accuracy
• Highly organized and self-motivated
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
